Baseball is America's National Pastime. From youth leagues to the majors, the game is played and watched in communities all over the country. Fans celebrate the rivalries and the heroes of the game. Another of America's pastimes is watching movies. Hollywood has put out lots of baseball movies, ranging from silly to inspired to fantastic. Among the films of this genre are the Sandlot movies. Light-hearted and heartfelt, these family-oriented coming-of-age stories take the viewer back to the innocent times of childhood. Full of horseplay and comic delight, they are also capable of inspiring genuine emotion.

In today's fast-paced society, the classic cliche—I can sleep when I'm dead—rings truer than ever. Our day-to-day lifestyle is breeding a population of workaholics whose eyes are set firmly on the never-ending struggle to make more money. While money is always on our collective minds, the way we handle finances has become infused with technology, resulting in an approach that is significantly more hands-on. Now we can invest in cryptocurrency, file a tax return, set up a savings account, and even contribute to an IRA with our smartphones. Imagine where we will be ten years from now.

The Blind Side is a much loved and highly successful film. It is in fact the highest grossing sports film of all time. It was nominated for numerous awards and took home quite a few of them. It purports to be the true story of professional football player Michael Oher and how he overcame the challenges of poverty and racial inequity with the help of the wealthy white family who eventually adopted him. While many of the real people in the film report that it is widely accurate, there have also been disagreements about the portrayal of some individuals, including Oher himself, and some of the events in the film.

Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist, is known mostly for his work with sexuality as it relates to the subconscious (ie: the Oedipus complex). However, he is also credited for the founding of psychoanalytic theory. This theory consists, in part, of psychoanalytic dream interpretation. Freud believed that dreams are one of the easiest ways of understanding the unconscious mind, representing the manifestation of unfulfilled desires. Dream interpretation is a large portion of Freudian theory, supposedly revealing the true nature of the dreamer.

It turns out that you’re not the only one who thinks that pregnancy is the stuff of horror movies. Hollywood directors seem to agree with you, and they’ve been cashing in on the idea for some time. The basic plot for one of these movies goes something like this: there’s a strange demonic force growing inside a woman’s belly. Once the nine months are up, she releases it into the world where it does all sorts of nasty things. Everything seems idyllic to begin with, but eventually goes horribly wrong.

Too many films depict what is often one of the most difficult periods of life with an idealistic nostalgia that little resembles lived experience. There are some films, though, that actually get it right — ones that encapsulate what it means to be a teenager in the 2020s. What these films reveal is that, while some aspects of teen angst are universal and timeless, others are unique to the world we live in today. So, what can the movies teach us about life as our teenagers experience it now?

For every sci-fi movie, the creator has a strong sense of what if's that they turned into an enchanting piece of art. Films differ in their concepts. Some speak about catastrophic events, climatic ups, and downs, some about superheroes and their superpowers. When incorporated with realistic episodes that are threatening, the movies earn audiences. Apart from that, a touch on the distinct human emotions is captivating. The filmmaker captures it in every shot to invoke feelings in the viewers. Every Sci-Fi movie holds a supreme topic projected with different events happening in the lives of the protagonists.
