In March of 2021, I was enlisted to start a podcast on the Ruminations Radio Network for my writing outlet of Film Obsessive. Phoenix-based Will Johnson and I are two very different film critics. We are also two cool dads and two exhausted school teachers. Lastly, we have become bitter rivals of taste. We crack each other up on social media and on our online workplace where we thought we might as well bring this movie nerd fights to the masses. Will and I will take opposing sides of love and hate on a single film each episode for tirade duels we’re calling The Cinephile Hissy Fit Podcast.
Our format is as follows. The “lover” gets five uninterrupted minutes to shout their praises. The “hater” goes second with their own five-minute stump position. Then, we open it up to shared debate and send you folks home after 30 total minutes. Easy-peasy and promised good fun! Find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instgram. Subscribe to us on your favorite podcast service soon!
NEW FOR 2023: The Ruminations Radio Network has started their own YouTube Channel where audio podcasts and video podcasts will be published and promoted regularly. Follow our work there as well! We also have a Teepublic storefront linked below!

CINEPHILE HISSY FIT GUEST APPEARANCE
There are many social media friends out there among us who have only met in the virtual sense. This big connected world allows that kind of long-distance connection. Nonetheless, nothing beats a hug, a handshake, or face-to-face interaction between two people. For the Cinephile Hissy Fit podcast on the Ruminations Radio Network, Will Johnson hails from Phoenix, Arizona and Don Shanahan calls Chicago, Illinois home. The odds of them ever meeting together in the same room, let alone making some content together, was slim. Those odds shattered recently when Will traveled to Chicago for family matters and got to hang put with Don.
