INFOGRAPHIC: The Most Googled Christmas Movies and Songs Revealed

ActionNetwork.com has analyzed Google searches of all the USA states to find out what have been the most searched-for Christmas movies and Christmas songs of the past 12 months. I thought you might find our data useful.
According to the results of an analysis which included 200+ Christmas movies and Christmas songs and focused on the past 12 months:
Home Alone was the most googled Christmas movie in the most states - 44 - followed by The Grinch, which was the most popular Christmas movie in 6 states
Home Alone was also receiving the most average monthly searches in the USA (overall) - 823,000 monthly searches - followed by The Grinch (673,000 average monthly searches)
All I Want For Christmas Is You was the most googled Christmas song in the most states - 45 - followed by Jingle Bells, which was the most searched-for Christmas song in 2 states
All I Want For Christmas Is You and Jingle Bells were also receiving the most average monthly searches in the USA (overall) - 550,000 - followed by Last Christmas with 450,000 average monthly searches.
Since the 2024 December search results are not yet available, we also examined the search results from last year focused only on the month of December 2023. When looking only at December 2023:
Home Alone was the most googled Christmas movie in the most states - 43 - followed by The Grinch, which was the most popular Christmas movie in 7 states
Home Alone and The Grinch also received the most overall searches in the USA (overall) in December 2023 - 4,090,000
All I Want For Christmas Is You was the most googled Christmas song in the most states - 58 - with only two states getting a different #1 most searched-for song: Hawaii (Mele Kalikimaka) and Colorado (Mary, Did You Know?)
All I Want For Christmas Is You and Jingle Bells received the most overall searches in the USA in December 2023 - 3,350,000 - followed by Last Christmas with 2,740,000 searches

METHODOLOGY
In total, 119 Christmas Movies and 100 Christmas songs were part of the analysis
The Google search results focused on the average monthly searches of the past 12 months as well as the month of December 2023 (separately) and they were gathered from Google Keywords Planner
In case of movie/song names with titles of a general nature, we added the keyword "song" / "movie" behind its title to maintain accuracy of the analysis: for example: for the song snowman by Sia, instead of "snowman" we searched for "snowman song"
