That’s when you’ll need the help of technology. Luckily, various services and platforms are available that allow you to enjoy your favorite movies together, no matter where you are.

In addition, Scener has a text chat feature, as well as a video feature, allowing you to watch movies while seeing your friends' faces on the right panel.

However, Scener requires its participants to either have subscriptions to the streamer of their choice or watch from a free website. The other unique part of Scener is its ability for people to join scheduled public watch parties. This means that you can enjoy the movies with your friends and other users, like a cinema. Other than that, Two Seven also lets you show personal videos, which is anything you’ve got downloaded on your laptop. The service offers user messaging and video chat features, so you can chat and react to each other while watching in real-time.

First, you’ll need to go to Two Seven’s homepage and click the “Get Started” button. Once you’re logged in, hit the “Start Watching” button to create a watch room. Then, a unique URL will show up, allowing you to invite friends using that link. While the service is free, you can switch to a paid tier that lets you Hulu, Disney+, and Screenshare for only $3 a month.
