Everything that you do in life tells other people about you. Your favorite hobbies tell people what you enjoy and what strengths you have; are you loving paint? The chances are you’re a creative individual. Are you enjoying rugby? Perhaps you have a lot more energy than others do. If your favorite food is cheesy fries, the chances are you’re pretty awesome - but someone who enjoys mussels might be thought of as strange. All of the things that we have in life and that we do tells people about us and allows them to build up an image of us in their minds. Ensuring that we give people the right picture of who we are is important - it’s why we share our favorite things with others when they ask.

Your personal tastes in everything say so much about you and if you are a die-hard Disney fan who has a list of favorite Lion King Quotes, then this is the article for you. One of the best indicators of your personality (according to society, people, and every child you will ever meet) is what your favorite Disney film is. Everyone has a favorite Disney movie and those who say that they don’t are in the closet about admitting their love for all things Disney. Don't worry, though. By the end of this article, you will understand all that you need to know about yourself simply by connecting with your favorite Disney movie. Are you ready to know about yourself? Let’s dive into this absolutely scientific article.

Beauty and the Beast

A tale as old as time, indeed. Beauty and the Beast is one of the Disney OG movies that we love to watch on rainy Sundays after a loaded meal. Bonus points for a cold day outside and a roaring fire. If you’re a lover of this amazing, classical film, then it’s clear you are a dreamer at heart. You relate to Belle, who spends time with her head in the clouds and in her books, wishing that she could be more and do more with her life. She doesn't expect love, but it comes as a slow burner - and perhaps you’re hoping for the same? You might enjoy spending time by yourself, and your imagination is limitless.

The Lion King

It’s not a character you relate to, but it’s the movie itself. It’s the fact you embody ‘hakuna matata’ as your mantra and you can talk up all your favorite Lion King quotes to everyone who asks. You want to run away from everything every now and then, and sometimes you really do run away and you try to hide for a while. You like to be immature and silly, you like to dance with your friends and relax. And yet, you’re reliable enough to always come back to your family and friends and be there when they need you.

The Princess and the Frog

If there is one thing that anyone relating to this film can understand, it’s that slow and steady wins the race. You don't rush things in life. You don't push, you don't force. You wait, you learn and you keep chasing your goals until you can work your way to where you want to be. You know what you want from life and you’re going to get it - you have that strong self belief that most people crave.

Finding Nemo

There are two ways that you relate to this one. Either you’re feeling trapped in life and you are aching for an escape, an adventure and you want to get into the world, or you’re responsible and protective of those around you. You could be very Dory-like; you forget everything, you’re whimsical and funny and people generally don't rely on you, but you like this movie because it is rooted in family. You might toe the line on occasion, but there is every chance you like to break the rules, too. Remember, don't touch the butt.

Tangled

Those who love Tangled tend to be totally free spirits, but that spirit is tied up in the responsibilities of life. You want to spin in the fields and run across the beaches, but you’re stuck in the tower of your job, just longing to get out. You have crazy levels of ambition and you’re charming, kind and fun to be around. You embrace every crazy idea your friends have because you only live once and you want this life to be a great one.

Up

Do you enjoy breaking your own heart? If so, you might love Up. Up is one of those Disney movies that breaks you from the moment you watch it because you can relate to the unrelenting grief and sadness that are a part of the movie. If you love Up, you’ll either be the kid - the happy, excited, ready to explore child with unlimited energy - or the grumpy old guy who is just done with life as he knows it. You might love the idea of adventure, but either way, this is a movie that underlines how life can change in an instant and it’s likely you relate.

Frozen

Are you into female empowerment? You probably are if you love Frozen. It’s not the first Disney movie that covers women taking charge of their independence (looking at you, Mulan), but it’s a movie that shows you as a stubborn, steadfast and determined individual. You know what you want and you’re going to go and get it. Sure, there may be elements of antisocial behavior, but that’s okay because you know you have magic in you. The introvert in you knows that you’re warm on the inside. It’s just a shame the world sees your cold, icy heart for the most part!

The Incredibles

Family is your jam, isn't it? You’re a huge ball of energy and you know that you want to be with your family as much as possible. You know that you’re popular, you know you have self-awareness and sometimes, this can come off as arrogance. You don't need to spend your life figuring out if you’re any good at what you do, and you know how to utilize your independence. Teamwork makes you happy and you’re at your best when you are showing off your skills while working with others.

Mulan

Ah, the best movie for female empowerment there is in the Disney sphere! As a lover of Mulan, you know that life is not always roses. Sometimes, you have to step up and help when you’re not even asked to do so and that’s not always easy. You have a deep-rooted need to make everyone around you happy and to please them, and you do your best with that. You might often feel conflicted about how you’re supposed to live your life - you want to do for everyone, but you also want to do for you. In your heart of hearts, you know how to do what’s right for your life, and you’re courageous enough to chase it.

Moana

One of the newest Disney movies, Moana is all about a girl who chases her dreams and demonstrates determination to be the hero. In your life, you’re the hero and you know it. You’re going after what you want and you’re strong enough to manage it. You have some self-doubt occasionally, but that doesn't stop you from being excellent at what you do. You are desperate for an adventure and you will do whatever it takes to make sure that those around you are safe from harm.

Peter Pan

You have some imagination there. If you’re a lover of Peter Pan, you live to make people happy, you live to make others believe that they are capable of anything. You can think on your feet and you have this streak of protectivity through you - you can’t help but support and protect the underdogs in your life. You’re smart, thinking on your feet where you can and living in the moment otherwise. You know how to be spontaneous, but you are also caring and you can’t help but see the joy in everything around you. You love to be cheeky, but you also know that danger comes in any form - and you know how to avoid it.

Cinderella

If your favorite Disney movie is Cinderella, then the chances are that you love a fairytale. You love the idea that no matter how difficult things can be, the world WILL turn on its head and you will get what you deserve. You know that there are bad people in life, but you sing your way through it and you know it’ll come good. Your unwavering faith is such that is unseen in many people, but you hang onto it because without faith what is there?

Disney has done nothing but churn out a top selection of feel-good movies that get under our skin. Which is your favorite and why? Take a look and let us know!
