The Silencing is Not Living Up to Expectations

The Silencing is a film based on a reformed hunter who lives isolated in a wildlife sanctuary for it soon to turn into a deadly game of cat and mouse between two men with one of them being a vicious killer who has killed young girls and may have kidnapped the reformed hunters missing daughter many years ago. Many movie fans have placed their bets on if the movie would be good or not with them using casinos not on gamstop and here are some more that have been visited during recent films.

The Silencing

The main character in this film is Rayburn Swanson and he is the owner of Gwen Swanson sanctuary which is named after his missing daughter. The sanctuary is a safe place for animals to Rome without being hunted as Rayburn used to be a trapper and hunter of animals which his missing daughter disapproved of leading him to change his ways and setting up the sanctuary.

The storyline behind this film is that a man is hiding in the woods kidnaping young girls and he then drugs and makes them run through the forest whilst he chases them down and hunts them with an old type of throwing spear that has not been used in hunting for a long time. Rayburn tracks the hunter due to him having a lot of CCTV cameras set up around the sanctuary and he eventually finds the hunter only to be shot himself and leads him to head home to repair his wounds.

The sheriff visits Rayburn’s house in the woods only to find her sick brother Brooks is there dressed up as the killer in the same type of camouflage which leads the sheriff to shoot Rayburn and let her brother escape. This leads Rayburn to chase down the sheriff and her brother whom he thinks is the hunter when it turns out that he is not the hunter and only a copycat.

Rayburn eventually finds out who the hunter is as when he first encountered the man after he engraved a small x on the side of his van so that he would be able to identify him if he ever comes across the vehicle again. Eventually, Rayburn finds the killer’s house and ends up being stabbed in the neck with a needle which puts him to sleep. The sheriff and her team track Rayburn to the hunter’s house only for the hunter to then escape. Rayburn eventually fixes his wounds and tracks the hunter into the wounds for him to find out it was the hunter who took his daughter all of them years ago.

The movie is not bad, but it has not lived up to the expectations that many had for it.
